On Nov. 7 at UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo, Dan Henderson takes on Vitor Belfort in what should be an explosive bout for as long as it lasts. While Belfort is about a -320 favorite, Henderson’s big punch makes him a dangerous big-priced underdog. Of course, at UFC 193 on Nov. 14 in Melbourne, the great Ronda Rousey defends her women’s bantamweight title against Holly Holm. Rousey, a prohibitive favorite at 17-to-1 odds, should have little trouble in this one....

In case you didn’t know… Eddie Alvarez made his UFC debut in 2014 against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in the co-main event of UFC 178. In his first official fight for the UFC, Alvarez, who despite taking control of the fight in the early stages ended up losing to Cerrone via split decision. Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, told ABC News in an interview shared by the outlet on Wednesday that he expects the “hottest” fighting between Ukraine and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forces to occur in March. Budanov added that he expects Ukraine’s military to make a large push against the invading Russians in the spring. According to him, those efforts could lead to what Ukraine feels would be an end to the war....

The comments by Yuriy Sobolevskyi, the deputy head of Kherson’s regional council, come as a former general told Newsweek that so far, it is unclear what the aims of Ukraine’s counteroffensive are. “Now is the time to support our armed forces,” Sobolevskyi said, according to Reuters, “now is not the time to talk about the specific successes of our lads” — as he described Ukraine’s efforts in the Kherson, Beryslav and Kakhovka districts....

This led to “the destruction of more than 100 occupiers,” and Russian military equipment the post said, according to a translation. The post included a video of smoke rising from the ground after several explosions. Russia’s capture of Soledar and the city’s salt mines, located nine miles north of Bakhmut which has been fought over for months, would have symbolic and military value for Moscow....
