Ahead of Bellator’s London event this weekend, Gallagher was interviewed by Metro and revealed the following information about McGregor’s training:
Gallagher’s statement comes after Coach John Kavanagh decided to close the SBG complex to the public for the foreseeable future, fueling speculation that McGregor was upping his training regime.
McGregor has publicly stated that he intends to return to action in the UFC on January 18, 2020, with Donald Cerrone currently the most likely to face the Irishman. However, Dana White has remained insistent that a deal to bring McGregor back in January is far from done.
It is expected that Gallagher will be joining McGregor in full training in the coming weeks, as he has been booked to headline Bellator’s next show in his native Dublin against Cal Ellenor in February 2020.
