Hunt wants to use his platform to bring about change across MMA, and also to receive compensation for the danger he was put in, against Lesnar. Here’s what he said to Ariel Helwani this past Monday on the MMA hour (courtesy of MMA fighting):
Hunt went on to justify his statement:
Hunt and Lesnar met in the co-main event of UFC 200 earlier in July in Las Vegas, where Lesnar took home a unanimous decision win after ground and pounding away at the Samoan for 15 minutes. It was Lesnar’s first bout in years since leaving the sport due to health concerns, and it was later made known that the former professional wrestling star tested positive for a banned substance.
With Hunt seeming intent on leaving the UFC, if Lesnar is not punished to his liking, it is very much possible that we have seen his last fight in the Octagon.
