Bisping went on to claim that his mother has stronger hips than Askren and the decision to retire, in the end, may have been in Funky’s best interest. Classic Bisping right there!
Count, however, added that he is a big fan of Askren and would have loved to see him fight more. Bisping understood Askren’s decision to move on after the former ONE FC Champion’s UFC career ended up being a highly-publicized failure.
Askren brought down the curtains on his career with an overall record of 19-2, with both those losses coming in the UFC. Funky came into the UFC with a lot of promise but he may have arrived in the promotion a little too late in his career.
