Adesanya too, seemed interested in the match up until UFC President Dana White announced that Romero must win another fight in order to deserve a crack at Adesanya’s title. That clearly has not deterred Romero as he is still hell-bent on getting the fight scheduled.

Romero also went on to say that Robert Whittaker, the former champion Adesanya beat to take the title has not been the same since returning to the Octagon because of the damage both his mind and body had to endure.
Romero believes that the reigning champion Adesanya is spending sleepless nights at the thought of having to face him.
