There has been a lot of speculation as to whether Mayweather was just teasing or if he’s serious. However, it appears that he’s dead set on making a comeback. TMZ has reported that for his boxing return, he’s all set to have a rematch with Manny Pacquiao. He has reportedly been interested in a rematch with the Filipino legend following an impressive display against a very tough challenger in Keith Thurman.
While that is a massive money match-up on its own, there has been a lot of curiosity about what Mayweather’s tie-up with the UFC is all about. According to TMZ, it’s to have a crossover boxing match with a UFC star:
TMZ noted that it’s all fluid right now and anything can change, but there’s a starting point to work from. It’s going to be interesting to see what the biggest box office draw in combat sports history has in store. Whatever it is, there’s going to be millions of pay-per-views sold and hundreds of millions of dollars made.
