Before lockdowns began worldwide, the UK was hosting several high-end productions. These included, but are not limited to, Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, a third Fantastic Beasts film, and the highly anticipated season two of Netflix’s The Witcher. None of these major productions have confirmed getting back to work, but the announcement may be coming soon.

Strict guidelines have been detailed for production companies all across the world. Measures have been taken in places like Atlanta where studios are implementing more sanitizing stations and fever checkpoints for cast and crew.

One of the biggest issues most productions are facing is whether or not clients and executives can visit sets. Currently, studios are cracking down on visitors entering set, and only allowing essential cast and crew.

New Zealand is another country looking to open up production. The Avatar sequel is its biggest production that studios want to get back on track. New Zealand is also hosting the production of the new Lord of The Rings series. Like the Avatar production, any international cast and crew have been quarantined for two weeks before production resumes.
